National French week celebrations
at Trinity Preparatory School
To close our chapter on traditions and customs in the Francophone world, our AP French class organized a Moroccan mint tea ceremony this morning. Mint tea is served not only at mealtimes in Moroccan homes but throughout the day as a sign of hospitality whenever there are guests. French 1B and French 3 students then celebrated Homecoming with a game of Pétanque!
Contest for French students
Students in Action: Develop Global Awareness Campaign.
Students create an original way for the students to reflect on a global issue such as bullying at school.
This topic which connects many AP themes will be presented in French. Through short videos, the exchange of information, including comparing French law to the law or rules of their community, the audience will become aware of the growing global problem namely bullying in schools. By using technology and respecting the world-readiness National Standard, integrating the 5’C, and can-do statements, the audience will be able to acquire and interpret the information, communicate and connect their students to the world.
